LAKE ERIE PERCH FISHING CHARTERS

Lake Erie's perch fishing is second to none and what better way to enjoy a day on the great lakes than booking one of our  Lake Erie perch charters.  These tasty delicacies are my personal favorites for table fare.  The last few years have brought record catches to our area.  Pound for pound the perch we catch on our Ashtabula, Ohio Lake Erie charters far outweigh other areas of Lake Erie.

Though primarily thought of as a fall fish bite we can catch yellow perch throughout the year.  A typical day will find us leaving the harbor and traveling anywhere from a short distance to over 10 nautical miles from the harbor.  After finding a school of fish on the fish finder we anchor the boat and bottom fish for the perch with minnows.

Yellow perch bite very light and it may take a novice awhile to get the hang of it.  Many days we get on a "hot" bite and fish go into the cooler as fast as you can reel them in, re-bait and get your line back to the fish.  So, if you are a novice or experienced angler and enjoy fishing for perch and wish to do it on our Lake Erie perch charters give us a call and we will be happy to post your catch with some of the ones you will find below.

A group of early year customers with their catch of jumbo class yellow perch.  What kept this group coming back early in the season for their perch fishing charter was the size of the perch you catch at that time of year.  You may not get limit catches early in the year but the size of the perch will get your attention!

Bill Klingensmith trip........year after year this group continues to come back on the Lucky Strike for their Lake Erie perch charter.  Many times they out fish other groups of anglers on the water and I'm sure that if you ask Bill about our Ashtabula, Ohio perch charters he would surely tell you they can't be beat!

How about a jumbo double header.  All fish, especially yellow perch tend to look smaller in pictures but both of these were fish Ohio award size which doesn't happen often, but makes good memories for an angler lucky enough to get two perch at once this size.

Ron Keels group with their cooler of perch.  This group of anglers has experienced all of our fishing and even had a walleye charter where they could not get the lines in the water fast enough!  Yellow perch and walleye charters.....Ron's anglers do them both and do them well.

Some long distance customers coming from the sunshine state and showing off their limit of perch.  These guys have fished all over and our wonderful Lake Erie perch charters keep them coming back for more action!

A Fedex sales rep (Steve Trace) with his  customers.  Lucky Strike has many large business customers such as Fedex who regularly bring their clients on Lake Erie perch or other fishing charters.  Why do they keep coming?  Lucky Strike gets them on the water safely with first class gear and presentations then produce excellent catches for their charters, such as this perch charter.

Another group from the trucking industry, Quality Logistics from Uniontown Ohio who continue to book their walleye and perch fishing charters on Lake Erie with  the Lucky Strike - thank you guys its always a pleasure to have your fishing charter aboard!

Ray, Bill, Brian, Larry and  Bill.  Ray, is that a 10# 30" walleye you have there?  Lets get a closer look at that.  This group gets so many bonus fish it's hard to believe......must have something to do with good fishermen.  Bill, all of the guys you bring seem to be excellent anglers and I'm happy that your perch charters have been so successful for you.  It's always a pleasure to have you back on Lake Erie.

How about this.  It doesn't happen too often but here is Brian holding Ray's walleye he caught while on a perch fishing charter.  It weighed 10 pounds and was 30" long....a real trophy!  What a treat to add that to a box of yellow perch like you guys managed to get!  It's always a pleasure to have you on my charters.

Walt Malippa, Bill Vandervort, and John Bondar with a limit of yellow perch.  These guys have all seen lots of Lake Erie action whether fishing for perch or pursuing walleye.  What a wonderful resource we have.......my hats off to all of the people in the Ohio DNR who do so well at such a difficult task as managing our Lake Erie fishery.

A group of anglers with their limit of perch.  Some of this group came all the way from Mississippi and put up with our cold weather to catch their fish!  It was nice having you guys and I'm really happy we managed to get that limit of perch for your charter.

Here Are Bob and Billy Frey, Jim Bresciani, Mr. Stubbs and his son Bruce with their limit of perch.   Everyone caught fish and Lake Erie was as good as it gets.  Thank you Bruce.  It makes me happy to see a plan get put together and work as well as yours did.

180 yellow perch and over 80# of fish makes mighty fine eating and a good catch for some very happy Lake Erie perch fishermen.

This group had the heavy cooler today at the fish cleaning station at 88#.  From left to right are Ray, Bob, Bill with son Brian and Larry.  Larry hooked the big bonus fish for this charter with a 31" 15# channel catfish (see picture below)  This group also battled 90+ degree weather and you can see some good sunburns in this picture.  Bill just loves his perch charters and always seems to manage boxing a heavy Lake Erie cooler.

Larry with his bonus fish.  What a battle on light tackle & line but Larry did a wonderful job landing it and released it after we took a few photos.  Now another lucky angler may get his chance at this wonderful Lake Erie cat fish!

Pictured are Tom, Steve, Bob, Jim , Jamie and Ed with their limit of yellow perch.  These anglers covered 34+ total miles of water on Lake Erie and were pulling in their last perch before noon.....good angling job guys - what a charter!

Here's a group that really traveled a long way to fish with us today.   Pictured here are Doug & Heather Anderson with their boys Devin, Tyler & Brandon with Doug's brother in law David on the left.  The Anderson's traveled here from Twin Falls, Idaho and also celebrated their 14th anniversary on the boat with us today while charter fishing for Lake Erie perch.

James Sr. with a bonus fish for the day caught during his walleye charter..............a 14 1/2" yellow perch.  Yes,  we have big fish in the Ashtabula Ohio area and a perch this size exceeds fish Ohio awards status and is a true trophy sized yellow perch.

The  Hubbs family from left to right are Mitchell, Mike, Matthew, and Cathy.  Despite a slow fish bite all morning this family managed to stick it out for a lengthy day on Lake Erie and were rewarded with their limit of yellow perch which included fish Ohio's for everyone.  I must say what a good fish catching job you all did!  Cathy informed me that after cleaning they took home 28# of prime eating filets.  What an enjoyable fall day on Lake Erie - thank you once again!

Here is a group that battled the elements to catch their limit of yellow perch.......cold weather - 60 degrees, cold water - 56 degrees, 4 foot waves, cloudy with some rain.  From left to right they deserve  a great big round of applause for:  Jeff, Annie, Jeff, Laura, and Chris who all showed excellent angling skills.  It was great having you.
